Beijing Aoshen won out in an arch-rivalry against Beijing Ducks on Wednesday, beating the home team 78-77 in the newly-built Shijingshan Stadium in a Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) game.

Ducks' center Menk Bateer and forward Jiao Jian missed final shots in the last seconds, surrendering a 10-point lead in the first half. Le Ron Ellis failed to drill in any of his two free-throws with 17 seconds left of the game, and the game was still on stake when Ducks had the final attacking chance to take the lead back. But the home team could not find the opportunity to take the shots when Aoshen played aggressive defence down the stretch before Bateer and Jiao made the rushing baskets to steal the victory.

The unstoppable Shanghai Sharks extended its winning streak to seventh in a 98-88 win over Shanxi Gaitianli. Shanxi's 2.18-meter center Garth scored 42 points and grabbed 22 rebounds while Shanghai's 2.23-meter Yao Ming had 23 points and 12 rebounds in 24 minutes.

Sina Lions, a team from Taiwan province, pulled down the third victories in CBA by defeating Jiangsu Dragons 105-96 on the road with six players having double-digit points.
