The bilateral relations of cooperation between Iran and China have developed rapidly, he noted, hoping that the friendly cooperation between the two countries would be further strengthened in various fields.

Jiang said that both China and Iran are important nations in Asia and have played an important role in regional and international affairs.

He believed that the bilateral cooperation would reach a new level in various fields in the new century on the basis of mutual respect and equality.

In the afternoon, Jiang is expected to visit the carpet museum in Tehran. Later Sunday, he is scheduled to attend a send-off ceremony hosted by Iranian President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami.
