Debutants China lost their second straight match in World Cup but gained valuable experiences from their victors Brazil.

The Chinese team were overwhelmed 4-0 by the four-time world champions Brazil.

Lacking of experiences, especially against such quality teams like Brazil, proved fatal to the Chinese team which also conceded two goals in their first match against Costa Rica.

Bora Milutinovic, who is leading his fifth team in World Cup finals, did try to transmit his abundant experiences to the Chinese players. But he also knows that such valuable experience scould only be gained by Chinese players themselves, perhaps through more games and more defeats.

"I am sad about the result of the game," said Milutinovic, "ButI am also very glad because my players had a very good performance."

"We had a better game than the first one. But we still lost the game because our opponents are Brazilians." said Milutinovic.

"We had scoring chances in the game, but we lack a little bit of luck." said Milutinovic.

Second half substitute Zhao Junzhe's shot hit the woodwork while Ma Mingyu, Qu Bo and Shao Jiayi each squandered a clear scoring chance.

In the first 15 minutes of the match, it was hard to tell whichside are the four-time world champions and which team are playing in their first ever World Cup finals.

But a mis-located wall allowed Robert Carlos scored his first goal at the Korea-Japan World Cup with his trademark free-kick at the 15th minute.

The goal shattered the confidence of Chinese players and without their two star defenders Fan Zhiyi and Sun Jihai, the Chinese defence line fell apart three more times under the mounting pressure of Brazilian attacking.

Ronaldo and Rivaldo each scored one goal while Gaucho Ronaldinho also put his name on World Cup scorers' list with a penalty kick.

The 4-0 defeat should not be a surprise to Chinese players. "We come here to learn, to gain experience," said Zhao Junzhe, "Butit's a pity we failed to score a goal."

"If we play better in the next game, we will have a better chance." Zhao Junzhe said.

China will play their last group match against Turkey on June 13.

"But no matter what the result would be for the match, the most important thing for us is to gain experiences and make improvements." said Zhao Junzhe.
