Top Chinese Judge Meets Portuguese Counterpart

Xiao Yang, president of China's Supreme People's Court, met with Jorge Aragao Seia, president of the Supreme Court of Justice of Portugal, and his party on Wednesday.

Xiao Yang, president of China's Supreme People's Court, met with Jorge Aragao Seia, president of the Supreme Court of Justice of Portugal, and his party on Wednesday.

Xiao briefed the guests on China's judicial work and court reforms.

He said China and Portugal have furthered their exchanges and cooperation in the area of the judiciary in recent years, and added that Chinese courts should draw on the valuable experience of other countries, including Portugal.

Jorge Aragao Seia praised China for its achievements in legal reform and said he hoped exchanges between the two nations' courtscould be increased.
