New Leaders Elected in Provinces, Autonomous Regions

A new team of younger and better-educated provincial leaders have been elected at annual legislative meetings, which continued across the nation on Saturday.

Bai Enpei elected head of Yunnan provincial legislature
Bai Enpei was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress of southwest China's Yunnan Province during the first meeting of the tenth people's congress of the province on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Xu Rongkai was elected governor of Yunnan Province, and Qin Guangrong, Li Hanbai (Bai ethnic minority), Cheng Yingxuan(female), Shao Qiwei, Li Xinhua, Kong Chuizhu and Wu Xiaoqing (Manethnic minority) were elected vice governors of the province.

Zhao Shijie was elected president of the provincial higher people's court of Yunnan.

Yang Yongliang elected head of Hubei provincial legislature
Yang Yongliang was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress of central China's Hubei province during the first meeting of the 10th People's Congress of Hubei province on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Zhao Wenyuan, Zhang Hongxiang, Wang Shouhai, Zhu Chunxuan (ethnic Tujia Nationality), Gao Ruike, Jia Tianzeng and Bao Longqing were elected vice-chairmen and Ji Lingzhi, vice-chairwoman, of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress.

With respect to the governorship, Luo Qingquan was elected governor of Hubei province, and Zhou Jianwei, Han Zhongxue, Liu Youfan, Jiang Chaoliang, Ren Shimao, Jiang Daguo (female), Gu Shengzu were elected as vice-governors of the province.

Wu Jiayou was elected president of the Hubei Provincial Higher People's Court.

Yu Junbo elected head of Beijing municipal legislature
Yu Junbo was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress of Beijing, China's capital, at the first meeting of the tenth people's congress of Beijing on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Fan Yuanmou, Suo Liansheng, Wang Weicheng, Lin Wenyi (female), Zhao Fengshan, Jin Shengguan, Zhao Jiuhe, Tian Maijiu were elected vice chairpersons of the standing committee ofthe Municipal People's Congress.

Meng Xuenong was elected Beijing's mayor. Liu Jingmin, Zhang Mao, Zhai Hongxiang (female), Liu Zhihua, Sun Anmin, Fan Boyuan, Niu Youcheng, Lu Hao were elected vice mayors of Beijing.

Qin Zheng'an was elected president of the municipal higher people's court.

Henan elects new leaders
Li Keqiang was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of central China's Henan Province on Saturday.

The election took place during the first session of the 10th provincial people's congress.

Eight vice-chairmen of the standing committee of provincial people's congress were also elected on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Li Chengyu was elected governor of Henan, and seven others were elected as vice governors.

Sichuan elects new leaders
Zhang Xuezhong was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of west China's Sichuan Province on Saturday.

The election took place during the first session of the 10th provincial people's congress.

Twelve vice-chairmen of the standing committee were also elected on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Zhang Zhongwei was elected governor of Sichuan, and eight others were elected as vice governors.

Guangxi elects new leaders
Cao Bochun was elected chairman ofthe Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Saturday.

The election took place during the first session of the 10th regional people's congress.

Eight vice-chairmen of the standing committee were also electedon Saturday.

Meanwhile, Li Zhaozhuo was elected chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and eight others were elected as vice chairmen of Guangxi.

Hebei elects new chairman of people's congress chairman and governor
Bai Keming was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hebei Province on Saturday.

The election, taking place during the first session of the 10thprovincial people's congress on Saturday, produced eight vice-chairmen of the standing committee of the provincial people's congress as well.

Meanwhile, Ji Yunshi was elected Governor of the Hebei Provincial People's Government. Seven others were elected as vice-governors.

Guizhou elects new leaders
Qian Yunlu was elected chairman ofthe Standing Committee of the People's Congress of southwest China's Guizhou Province on Saturday.

The election took place during the first session of the 10th regional people's congress.

Meanwhile, Shi Xiushi was elected governor of the province.

Inner Mongolia elects new people's congress chairwoman
Chu Bo was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Saturday.

The election took place during the first session of the 10th regional people's congress.

Eight vice-chairmen of the standing committee were also electedon Saturday.

Meanwhile, Uyunqimg was elected chairwoman of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and seven others were elected as vice chairmen.
