Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong Tuesday reiterated China's principle on development relations with Japan and hoped the Japanese business community would play a positive role in this field.
At a meeting with Kazuo Inamori, honorary president of Kyocera Corporation of Japan, and his party, Zeng spoke highly of the efforts Kazuo Inamori has made to promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Japan, and his support to China's public service business.
Zeng said that China and Japan have achieved great progress in cooperation in all fields since they normalized diplomatic ties over 30 years ago.
The Chinese government attaches importance to the good neighborly relationship cooperation with Japan because they conform to the fundamental interests of the two peoples, he said.
Zeng said the two countries should observe the three political documents including the Sino-Japanese Joint Statement, and handle the problems existing between the two countries in the spirit of "learning from the history and facing the future," so as to build up a long-term, stable and healthy relationship.
He hoped the Japanese business community would play a positive role in promoting Sino-Japanese friendship.
Kazuo Inamori hoped the Chinese and Japanese would strengthen non-governmental exchanges and cooperation to push forward the friendly relations between the two countries.
