BEIJING, April 20 (Xinhuanet) -- The father of the two men suspected of carrying out the Boston marathon bombings has spoken out in support of his sons, saying he has total confidence in their innocence.

Anzor Tsarnaev, father of the Boston bombing suspects, said, "I find out what happened from television. I've been told to watch television - my daughter called me and told me Tamerlan was killed. My children have never had a license for arms. My children have never seen guns, only on television.

"I have confidence in my children. I have 100 percent confidence in them. We moved to America because of our political system in Russia. Chechens were persecuted in Kyrgyzstan. There were problems. That’s why we left. There was a manhunt for us at one point - if you worked in the police or were a colonel - they were about to annihilate us."
