Strong quake strikes off eastern Indonesia

JAKARTA, Aug. 12-- An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale jolted Maluku in eastern parts of Indonesia on Monday morning, but it was not expected to cause tsunami, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said here.
