S. Korea proposes talks on reunions of separated families: media

SEOUL, Aug. 16 -- South Korea on Friday formally proposed to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to hold working level talks for the reunions of families separated by the Korean War (1950-53), according to Yonhap News Agency.

The Ministry of Unification said it proposed the meetings to be held on Aug. 23.
