China's sales of automotive in 2012 totaled 19,306,400, an increase of 4.3 percent, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers statistics. Looking back on car sales in recent years, it is not difficult to find out that the automobile market has entered the era of "micro-growth ".

Facing consumers' upgrading requirements of products, technology and brand, as well as increasingly stringent constraints of automotive energy saving and environmental protection from society, the products structure, brand structure, technical structure, and market structure of the automobile market are changed.

Strong companies are getting stronger, production expansion despite economic downturn, establishment of the new joint ventures, an endless stream of new brands, and the rapid development of overseas markets, all these become the notable features of the automobile industry in 2012.

GAC Fiat Automobiles Co Ltd's Vice-General Manager Jiang Ping said, although the automobile market are into the "micro-growth" era, segments such as SUV still have opportunities.
