BOCHK appoints Zhu

Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) has appointed Zhu Yanlai, daughter of China's former premier Zhu Rongji, as its deputy chief executive, the bank announced Friday.

Zhu Yanlai will be responsible for strategic planing and in charge of the chief executive's office and the yuan business.

Zhu joined Bank of China in 1997 and served as the head of Business Development of BOC (Canada) and assistant general manager of the Hong Kong and Macao Regional Office of BOC. She was promoted to be the assistant chief executive in 2010.

Her father Zhu Rongji was the premier of China between 1998 and 2003.
