Cold dew falls today

Rainfall amount forcast by Central Meteorological Station on Oct 8

Cold dew, 17th of 24 solar terms, falls today. It means weather will be colder and dews are becoming frost. North China will soon enter winter.

According to China’s Central Meteorological Station, under the influence of a cold air eastward from west in north China, temperature will decline sharply by 4 to 8 degree Celsius from October 9 to 11. Temperatures in central and northeast Inner Mongolia will fall by over 10 degree Celsius along with moderate and fresh breeze.

Knowledge about Cold Dew

The traditional East Asian calendars divide a year in to 24 solar terms; Hanlu , literally is cold dew, which is the 17th solar term. It usually falls on October 8 or 9 and ends around October 23.
