Li Jianguo elected China's trade union chief

BEIJING, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Li Jianguo was elected chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU), according to a statement released after a plenary session of the ACFTU 15th Executive Committee, which closed on Friday.

Li, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will replace Wang Zhaoguo, the statement said.
