BEIJING, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao will address the second annual World Peace Forum at Tsinghua University on June 27, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman announced Thursday.

Spokeswoman Hua Chunying told a daily press briefing that Sierra Leonean President Ernest Bai Koroma, Surinamese President Desi Bouterse, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Dmitry Mezentsev and several former foreign politicians will also attend the forum.

Organized by Tsinghua University in partnership with the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, the forum is China's first high-level non-governmental seminar focusing on international security topics, according to Hua.

This year's forum will be held on June 27 to 28, and its theme is "International Security in a Changing World: Peace, Development, Innovation," she said.
