Four domestic flights disrupted by threat calls this morning

Four domestic flights leaving from different mainland airports including Shanghai Hongqiao Airport were disrupted after receiving threat calls.

A Juneyao Airlines HO1111 flight, heading for Shenzhen, returned to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport after receiving a threat call.

Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH9866 was arranged to return the airport in Nanjing after the threat call. Flight ZH9243 after taking off from Xi'an later landed in a nearby airport in response to the emergency while flight ZH9889 also delayed its takeoff at Beijing after the threat call.

The threat calls to the three Shenzhen Airlines flights were reportedly made between 8 and 8:33am.

None was injured in the incidents and police have launched an investigation.
