LANZHOU, July 13 (Xinhua) -- More than 100 tourists became trapped in Wenxian County in northwest China's Gansu Province Friday night after a rain-triggered landslide and mudslide cut off traffic, local authorities said Saturday.

The tourists, including 38 Vietnamese nationals, became trapped in Wenxian's Yulei Township at about 9 p.m. while en route to Jiuzhaigou, a renowned nature reserve in neighboring province of Sichuan, according to the county government.

They were accommodated in the county's Bikou Township Friday night.

Bikou is about 200 km away from Jiuzhaigou.

Road repair work is still under way in the area.
