Death toll rises to 24 in NW China flood

Local authorities said on Wednesday that death toll rose to 24 in China's Qinghai Province floods.

Rescuers recovered three more bodies after 21 were confirmed dead earlier on Wednesday.

Rain and hail battered Wulan County in the Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Haixi around 7 p.m. Tuesday, said the county government.

Workers were repairing a road on a construction site when the flood hit, submerging the entire site.
