Measures to be taken to let more Chinese travel in Russia: Medvedev

BEIJING, Oct. 22 -- Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday that Russia will continue taking measures to ensure that more Chinese have opportunities to travel in Russia and that more Russians travel to China.

He promised continuous efforts to improve the country's visa system.

Medvedev made the remarks in response to a question about simplifying the visa system during an online chat with Internet users from across China via Xinhuanet.com, the official website of Xinhua.

Medvedev arrived in Beijing early on Tuesday for an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. He came to Xinhua News Agency Tuesday afternoon to conduct the online chat with Chinese netizens.
