Malaysia Chinese Society hopes economic and trade cooperation will living up

BEIJING, May 13 -- The economic and trade cooperation between Malaysia and China not only faces challenges but also has chances, Huang Hanliang, chairman of the Chinese general chamber of commerce in Malaysia said in Kuala Lumpur Friday.

Huang said this at a banquet to see off Xuan Guoxing, Chinese business commercial Counselor to Malaysia, and welcome his successor Wu Zhengping. In recent years, thanks to the efforts of Chinese office of business commercial counselor, Chinese and Malaysia economic and trade cooperation got record highs and the bilateral trade volume increased year by year, said Huang..

He expressed appreciation to Xuan for his contribution to China and Malaysia cooperation in the past four years. Besides, he hopes the cooperation will set a new high with Wu’s coming.

Xuan showed his gratitude for the supports from the general chamber of commerce for its contribution during the developing period of economic and trade relation between the two countries. The general chamber of commerce has held influential and fruitful entrepreneurs conference several times. It provides a lot benefits for the two countries’ cooperation, and helped hold meetings, investment seminars and so on.

Wu has rich experience in promoting trade among the Asian nations. He was deputy director general of China's Ministry of Commerce Department of Asian Affairs and worked as Chinese business commercial counselor in the Philippines for over five years.
