Liaoning Team Score Eighth Consecutive Win in China's League

����Liaoning Fushun scored their eighth consecutive win in China's first division soccer league after beating Tianjin Taida 1-0 in the 21st round on Sunday.

����The Liaoning team, which came back into the top flight of Chinese soccer this season, further enlarge their lead over second placed Shandong Luneng Taishan which were beaten 1-0 by Sichuan Quanxing on Sunday.

����Liaoning team now have 43 points from 13 wins, 4 draws against 4 losses. Shandong Luneng Taishan still managed to stay in the second place with 37 points.

����Li Jinyu, who came back from French soccer club Nancy in August, scored the sole goal of the match in the first half and that was just enough for the Liaoning team to salvage the win.

����With five rounds remaining in the league this season, the Liaoning team are now favored to win the title, their first one since the professional league was launched in 1994.

����The previous five seasons were won by Dalian Wanda and Shanghai Shenhua.

����Wuhan Heart K upset Qingdao Hainiu 3-0 on Sunday, but still remained at the bottom of the team standings.

����Zeng Fanqin scored twice in the first half while Zhang Bo added one at the 82nd minute to give the Wuhan team a well-deserved victory.

����The loss made it hard for Qingdao Hainiu as they are now only one point above the relegation zone.

����Shanghai Shenhua were held to a 1-1 draw by Shenzhen Ping'an and dropped to the sixth place in the 14-team league. They are now virtually out of the contention for the title as they have only 31 points to their credit.

����In other matches played on Sunday, Chongqing Longxin beat Dalian Wanda 4-2, Shenyang Haishi lost to Guangzhou Songri 0-1, Beijing Guo'an beat Jilin Aodong 3-0.
