TBILISI, June 23 -- Hou Yifan from China on Monday beat countrywoman Zhao Xue to take back her sole lead in the 12-player 2013-2014 FIDE women grand prix fifth and penultimate leg which is being played out in Georgia's Lopota.
Hou, winner of last season's grand prix title, has garnered 3.5 points from four rounds now five days into the Lopota single round-robin tournament while half a point away are Ju Wenjun also of China and Nana Dzagnidze of Georgia and Harika Dronavalli from India.
World's third-rated Humpy Koneru of India shared the third echelon with Antoaneta Stefanova of Bulgaria, on 2.5 points apiece.
