INCHEON, South Korea, Sept. 25-- Both China and DPR Korea have resolved to win their upcoming clash in the Asian Games women's soccer quarterfinal on Friday.

"A quarterfinal is important. We must win it to reach the semifinals and the final. I'm preparing for our quarterfinal game for my country and people," head coach of DPR Korea Kim Kwang-min said Thursday.

"Our team gets better and better. We want to win the next game. I think it will be a big match," China head coach Hao Wei made the same resolution.

The Chinese team has reached a higher level than before, the DPR Korea coach commented. "They defend well. We will figure out ways to penetrate China's defense. I believe we can do it well."

In the history of Asian Games, the two teams have clashed four times, ending with one tie, two victories for China and one for DPR Korea.

China's Hao believed the key to success would be teamwork. "We can't succeed just with one or two players. We know each other well and we need a special strategy."

Kim attributed their strength to top DPRK leader Kim Jong-un. "We couldn't have become a top team in the world without him," he said.
