China's aviation giant to develop distributed photovoltaic system

Baolixin New Energy Development Ltd., a subordinate company of Aviation Industry of China, is poised to develop solar energy on roofs, according to a report on Thepaper.cn.

Distributed photovoltaic system account for over 50 per cent of photovoltaic power, and in Germany the number is over 80 per cent, according to statistics of the National Bureau of Energy. However, distributed photovoltaic system only took up 16.6 per cent of the total photovoltaic power in China by 2014.

In an interview with Thepaper.cn, Liang Tian, Chairman of Baolixin, said that current situation of roofs constrains the development of distributed photovoltaic system. Furthermore, the cost to develop distributed photovoltaic system is too high for Chinese enterprises to begin such development. Liang also said that business models also constrain photovoltaic system development.
