In recent years, the Changsha New Port has seen a rapid development momentum. Its monthly throughput has reached a record high. In August, the Port handled the bulk cargo throughput of 580,000 tons. This is the first time that the monthly throughput has exceeded 500,000 tons since its establishment. As one of the 28 major inland river ports in China, it delivered more than 60% of the provincial total export containers. It undertakes the task of container transportation for over 60% of the inner branch line in Changsha and central Hunan.
