Chinese, U.S. entrepreneurs tap opportunities at forum

(Xinhua)    14:02, September 01, 2019

NEW YORK, Aug. 31 -- To strengthen international exchanges and cooperation can help form a joint platform to promote development in a world with great changes and readjustment, said Jiang Liujun, chairman of the American International Chamber of Industrial Investment (AICII).

Jiang was speaking Friday evening at the China-U.S. Entrepreneur Industry Symposium at the Harvard Club in central Manhattan, New York, also noting that it is difficult for an enterprise to stand alone and last for a long run upon its own strength.

The AICII, which covers real estate, education, culture, finance, medical care, sports, information technology, biotechnology, aerospace and other aspects, focuses on high-quality industrial investment in the world, and builds an international cooperation system for advanced industries.

Wang Yanguo, visiting executive chairman of the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector, said, "It is difficult for any enterprise to go ahead by himself, we have to join hands for our common future."

While China-U.S. trade ties are experiencing the hardest times, entrepreneurs from both sides must have a clear mind and join hands to contribute to global economic development and social progress, Wang said.

Chinese and American entrepreneurs also tapped their business opportunities and exchanged in-depth views to establish long-term and strategic cooperation.

The symposium was attended by nearly 100 companies from China and the United States, which cover finance, real estate, medical care, education, and other industries.
