SEOUL, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) fired two unidentified projectiles into the East Sea, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said Thursday.
The JCS said in a statement that the projectiles were launched from the DPRK's eastern province of South Hamgyong towards the eastern waters around 4:59 p.m. local time.
It noted that the South Korean military was closely monitoring relevant situations and maintaining defense posture in preparation for possible additional launches.
It came about a month after the DPRK fired off two projectiles into the eastern waters on Oct. 31. Pyongyang test-launched projectiles a total of 13 times this year.
