BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) has shared its experience from China's fight against COVID-19 with political parties around the world, bolstering its efforts to aid countries in stemming the virus' spread.

In a letter sent to more than 60 countries on Wednesday, the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee briefed 110 leaders of political parties on the current anti-virus situation in China while expressing gratitude for their support in China's anti-virus efforts.

The letter said that the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has prioritized ensuring the life, safety and health of the Chinese people in its response, and adopted the most comprehensive, rigorous and thorough-going measures to curb the virus' spread.

The department said Xi has guided China's anti-virus battle by making vital and timely decisions, and leading the containment arrangements.

Thanks to arduous endeavors nationwide, China has basically arrested the spread of COVID-19, with the overall anti-virus situation improving and the order of life and production being restored at an increasing pace, it said, stressing that China has the confidence, capability and determination to win the final victory over the epidemic.

The department said China's efforts in the anti-virus battle have illustrated the effectiveness of the measures taken by the CPC and the Chinese government in coping with COVID-19, which the World Health Organization (WHO) and political party leaders in a majority of the world's countries have lauded.

It said leaders of over 300 political parties and groups from over 120 countries have sent messages to General Secretary Xi and the CPC Central Committee to express their support to the CPC-led battle against the coronavirus, while lauding Xi's wise decisions and strong leadership as well as the unprecedented speed and scale of China's response.

The leaders said China has worked diligently to protect people in and beyond China from the virus, and made important contributions to the global anti-virus efforts by buying time and accumulating experience for the world to better prepare.

According to the department, the leaders in their messages said China's anti-virus efforts have showcased the strong leadership of the CPC with General Secretary Xi at the core and the governing concept of placing the people's interests at the center.

China's efforts to stem the virus' spread are indicative of a traditional culture of people coming together to help one another hit by disaster, the advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the Chinese nation's indomitable courage and patriotism, they said.

The department also said in the letter that China has been open, transparent and responsible in its anti-virus fight, timely releasing information related to the virus and playing an active part in international efforts to fight the disease.

Moreover, while being engaged in its own fight against the virus, a sympathizing China has shared with virus-hit countries the valuable experience from its own fight, and provided necessary support and assistance to those severely hit by donating test kits, protective suits and other medical supplies, despite its own difficulties, said the department.

It added that Chinese medical experts are now working in some countries to help them fight the virus.

Currently, many countries are threatened by a further spread of COVID-19, it said, adding that the CPC is willing to work with the political parties of other countries to jointly defeat the virus globally.

In the letter, the department said the virus outbreak shows how in an era of globalization, countries are increasingly becoming an inseparable community defined by a shared future.

It said that global public health security calls for countries to work together and that the CPC stands ready to work with political parties around the world to defeat the outbreak and contribute to building a community with a shared future for humankind.
