Located on the northern foot of the Lishan Mountain 30 kilometers to the east of Xi’an, the Huaqing Hot Spring is also called the Huaqing Palace. It has been a tourist attraction of bathing and sightseeing since ancient times. Now, it is a national-level scenic spot and a national AAAAA level tourism area. The Huaqing Hot Spring is known for the romantic love story between the Tang Xuanzong Emperor (685 A.D. --- 762 A.D.) and his concubine Yang Yuhuan (719 A.D. --- 756 A.D.). In recent years, the large-scale historical drama “Song of Ever-Lasting Sorrow” based on the love story is performed in this place every evening, re-showing the love story that occurred more than 1,000 years ago in this place in an artistic way.
