On Wednesday, August 21, 2013, Kempinski Hotel Beijing hosted an opening ceremony to introduce its new Jade ballroom. The 300 more guests in attendance were members of the meeting planners, as well as airline and media representatives.
Kempinski Hotel Beijing presented its newly refurbished grand ballroom with a "Culinary Discovery Journey", as a way to show its appreciation for the clients' loyalty and support.
Live-cooking gourmet cuisine created by the Executive Chef Thomas Laberer and his talented chef team representing the 7 restaurants & bars in the hotel, guests were also treated to a live band and an ice-carving demonstration. At the event, Managing Director Mr. Gerhard E Mitrovits introduced Kempinski's history and portfolio.
The new pillar-free grand ballroom is 1,334 square meters, making it the largest banquet & meeting facility in the third embassy area in town. The ballroom has an abundance of natural light and lake view can be divided into five sections to fulfill guest requirement. A 450-square meter ballroom foyer is also available for theme coffee break experience.
