Hosts China swept all eight shooting golds of the 6th East Asian Games (EAG) as Su Yuling got back to claim the women's 10m air pistol title with 196.0 points here on Thursday.

Su, 6th in 2012 London Olympics individual finals, ranked first with 385 points in qualification.

"It's her best personal mark this year," said China coach Xue Baoquan.

In the previous three events, China clinched the titles in team and top three in individual events.

But on Thursday's court, Su's teammates Ren Jie and Zhou Qingyuan underperformed to be eliminated through qualification.

The 17-year-old Zhou got several 8 points and even got a 7-point shot in the last set.

"Zhou is a promising shooter. In terms of wonderful results before, these shooters also want to perform well today, while putting too much pressure on themselves when the result doesn't go in a way that they expected," said Xue.

China won the gold medal with 1,131 points in total. Chinese Taipei trailed just one point to rank second. Bronze medal went to Japan, who got 1,124 points.

Su met some trouble as she got 7.3 points in the 5th shot, while shrugging off huge pressure as two other Chinese shooters were eliminated.

"The result in qualification will not be added into the finals. We are on the same starting line. The 7.3-point shot was out of a poor gesture," said Su.

Su began to get back into the game from a 3.2-point huge deficit to the leader with 10.5 and 10.8 points in the next two shots.

Su climbed to the top position after recording 10.7 points in the 12th shot and has never trailed behind since then.

"I didn't perform well but other athletes performed worse. That's it," said Su.
