Although there is no fast or loose rule, pregnant women are recommended NOT to drive a car, especially during the second trimester.

There’s no reason why you can't carry on driving as normal. Nevertheless, you might encounter several problems associated with pregnancy, for instance you have to stop a bit more often for toilet breaks, having a walk or stretching to relieve backache if you were on a relatively long journey.

As your pregnancy progresses and you grow larger it becomes much difficult for you to enter and exit a car. Most pregnant women prefer their partner do the driving simply because it's easier and more comfortable.
