Russians are getting their creative caps on to enjoy the long-lasting wintertime. Three days of continuous snowfall in Moscow provides plenty of raw material for a snowman building competition, where families are turning thick snow on the ground into fine pieces of art.
Freezing weather didn’t thwart the enthusiasm of Moscow residents towards their traditional winter fun. The 310 teams at the competition was the largest in recent years. Many of the teams were made up of parents and children, vying for the attention of the judges and passers-by. Family fun is mixed with a feel of achievement.
