At noon on July 9, 2012, a man holding an imitation gun robbed a jewelry store and ran away. The boss and one clerk in the jewelry store followed the man quickly. Seeing this scene, Li Ke immediately drove the motorcycle to run after the robber. He and Xue (the boss of a stationery store nearby) held down the robber to the ground together. Then, together with the jewelry store's boss and clerk, they brought the robber under control and transferred him to the police.

As far as we know, since the foundation of the municipal Promotion Association for Justice and Courage, 1,019 advanced figures of justice and courage in this city have obtained national-, provincial-, and municipal-level awards, setting fine examples to the society.
