(People's Daily Online)

In the past ten years, China has laid solid foundation for building moderately prosperous society by grasping the important strategic period and making a series of historic achievements.

Hu Jintao's report to the 18th National Congress of the CPC set out the news goals and tasks in the future. The next decade is crucial for China's development, and "China model" will become a brilliant record in the history, said a former S. Korean Ambassador to China.

China has strength, experience and firm resolution in coping with a number of challenges facing it. This is the common view of the world. Henry Kissinger said "Based on the past experience of China, I expect China to move forward. Of course, there will be difficulties but progress is never smooth and uninterrupted."

The world has many reasons to be optimistic about China's future.
