With dense fog hitting eastern and central China, that how to deal with the hazardous particles has become a hot topic on the Internet. In order to obtain authoritative answers, the journalist interviewed several relevant experts to distinguish the effective methods.
1. More black fungus
Yang Yue, a professor in Beijing Cancer Hospital told the reporter that the hazardous particle is detrimental to our health because it will cause all sorts of diseases including tumor. Yuan Huiqing, a chief physician in Beijing Zhongyi Hospital said that it is bioactive substances on the surface of our lungs that eliminate the toxins of PM2.5. White fungus, rock candy, lotus seed, lotus root and black fungus are all effective foods to eliminate the particles.
2. Never ventilating a room by opening windows
According to Yuan Huiqing, people should avoid open the window, as air will permeate any crack or hole and a chink will not prevent PM2.5. It is a better choice to place some green plants which could absorb dust on the balcony, platform and in rooms. At the same time, air purifiers are also useful, but remember to change the filter regularly.
3. Cleaning your own home
When cleaning the houses, people should wipe rather than sweep the rooms, because clouds of dust will be kicked up by sweeping. It is vital to keep the room humid by using humidifier or placing a wet towel on the heater. It is necessary to scroll through the bed sheet with a brush covered by wet towel to avoid kicking up dust when cleaning the sheet.
