A county government official in Central China's Henan province is under investigation due to claims that he gave his teenage son a job at the same institution he once directed, Xinhua News Agency reported Wednesday.

Zhao Shuqi, director of the river management institution under the Water Resources Bureau in Ye county, Henan province, has been suspended from his post.

His son, Zhao Zihang, 21, was registered as an employee with river institution in March 2007, when he was just 15 years old, and earned a monthly salary of 1,276 yuan ($208), according to information from an unnamed whistleblower.

Zhao Zihang is currently enrolled at a vocational and technical college in East China's Shandong province, reported the Beijing Moring Post.

According to further information provided by the whistleblower, 10 of the river management institution's 69 employees obtained positions there when they were all under the age of 18.
