Q: It is reported that the IAEA will hold a new round of dialogue with Iran on December 13. According to Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili will have a telephone conversation with Catherine Ashton, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and Iran is ready to restart talks with P5 plus one countries, "so each side can achieve satisfactory results". What is China's comment on that?

A: China always believes that dialogue and cooperation is the only right approach to appropriately solving the Iranian nuclear issue. We encourage the IAEA to enhance cooperation with Iran and support P5 plus one countries in continuing dialogue with Iran so that progress can be made soon for comprehensive, long-term and appropriate settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue. China will stay in communication with all parties.

Q: It is reported that Dalai addressed an audience of 140 Japanese parliamentarians in the Upper House members' office building on the morning of November 13. Participants announced the establishment of a "pro-Tibet Diet members' alliance". What is China's comment?

A: Tibet is an inalienable part of China. Under the cloak of religion, Dalai is a political exile who has long been engaged in activities aimed at splitting China on the international stage. We are firmly opposed to the provision of support by any country or any person to Dalai in any form for his anti-China separatist activities.

We strongly condemn the Japanese right-wing forces' interference in China's internal affairs by blatantly supporting Dalai's anti-China separatist activities. The Japanese government has been conniving at the above activity of Dalai and the right-wing forces, which deviates from the principle and spirit of China-Japan strategic relationship of mutual benefit. The Chinese side has lodged solemn representations with the Japanese side.
