Indian president wishes to deepen pragmatic cooperation with China

NEW DELHI, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Indian President Pranab Mukherjee has expressed his wish that India and China could deepen pragmatic cooperation in all fields to realize common development for the benefit of the people of the two countries, according to Chinese Embassy sources here on Wednesday.

When accepting the credentials from Chinese Ambassador to India Wei Wei at the presidential palace here Tuesday, Mukherjee also said that India-China relations are now experiencing a best period of time.

During the brief meeting after presenting his credentials, Wei said that over the past decade, China-India relations have seen rapid development. The two countries have frequently exchanged high level interactions, while making substantial steps to boost trade and economic relations.
