Pakistan Ambassador: China will achieve greater successes

Beijing, March 26 (People's Daily Online)--Pakistani Ambassador Masood Khalid highly complimented the achievement made by China in a reception for the 75th National Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan on March 24, 2014.

Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Rana Tanveer, Pakistani Minister of Defense Production, and other honored guests attended the celebration.

When addressing the guests, Khalid said that China would achieve greater successes and realize the Chinese Dream.

He said that the friendship between the two countries had withstood the test of time and kept developing. The economic corridor between China and Pakistan under construction will bring more opportunities to the economic development and personnel exchanges. In recent years, the two countries have carried out all-round cooperation in energy, infrastructure, culture, science and technology, and other fields. In 2013, the value of bilateral trade reached 14 billion USD. Ambassador Khalid was very confident about China-Pakistan relationship and expressed his appreciation for China's support and cooperation.

"Long live Pakistan-China relationship!" he said at the end of his speech.

At the reception, Zhao Qiao, director of Urdu service of China Radio International, was awarded a medal for her meritorious services in the field of Journalism.

Pakistani children sang and danced for the celebration and a Chinese folk band played famous Chinese and Pakistani songs.
