College students celebrated Shangsi Festival in Han costumes in Southeast University in Nanjing, capital of southeast China's Jiangsu Province, March 30, 2014. Activities including "Fu Xi" (a bathing ritual), Han dance were held in the university.

Shangsi Festival, also known as March 3rd Festival, is an ancient Chinese festival celebrated on the third day of the third lunar month. During the festival people would go for an outing. It is also a day for invoking cleansing rituals to prevent disease and get rid of bad luck. It is also a day that is traditionally considered to be a possible birthday of the Yellow Emperor.
