Hand-painted maps go viral online; painter's name remains unknown

A group of hand-painted maps of Chinese provinces has gone viral on the Internet. Beijing in red, Hunan in green and blue and Shandong is painted in yellow and green. Different from the map of China painted on text books or travel guides, the painter chose color ink to create shading effects on the map.

"Cannot be praised highly enough," a netizen said. Many other netizens looked for their hometown among those ink painting maps. Some followers post "Keep going", pressing the painter for following works.
