The upper part of this combo photo taken in 1984 shows 20-year-old Yaoze (2nd L) about to eat steamed rice with her family in Baya Village of Jino Ethnic Township on Jino Mountain, Dai Autonomous Prefecture of Xishuangbanna, southwest China's Yunnan Province. There was no power and water supply in the rough shelter where she lived. The lower part of the combo photo taken by Lin Yiguang on Nov. 20, 2018 shows 54-year-old Yaoze (1st L) and two of her grandsons and daughters-in-law posing for a photo at home. Yaoze moved into a new house with a brand-new television. The family now owns motorbikes, tractors and plants more than 100 rubber trees. (Xinhua)
