The capital city had witnessed snowfall and sleet since Saturday night as cold current
swept north China and dropped temperature. Local meteorological authorities issued an orange alert of blizzard, the second-highest level of the four-tier color-coded warning system on snowstorms. (Xinhua)

"I think the traffic has no problem. Many cars are driving carefully. There isn’t much snow on the road. "

The local meteorological center says the rain and snow are expected to let up around midnight on Sunday.

The meteorological authority said the public should keep warm amid temperature drops. And the cold wave has switched on the city’s public heating on Sunday ahead of scheduled November 15.
