Li, former director of a village in Xiaodian district, was exposed in an online post on Wednesday for having "four wives with ten children".

He first married in the 1990s and his wife gave birth to four daughters. But the online post accuses Li of also having a sexual relationship with three other women, according to a report in the Legal Weekly.

The three women gave birth to six children in total, and Li managed to help two of the three women as well as their children get hukou in Li's family, said the report.

China's current law rules that a man can only marry one woman, and he has to divorce before marry with another woman.

The district government did not reveal how Li managed to help the women and children get their hukou in his family.
