SYDNEY, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Santa Cruz Islands region at 08:03:41 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.00 km, was initially determined to be at 11.0249 degrees south latitude and 164.7498 degrees east longitude.
