Crossover: China's economy key talking point in Davos

(CNTV)

14:50, January 24, 2013

The world’s policymakers, entrepreneurs, and academics have gathered in Switzerland for the annual World Economic Forum.

Promoting "resilient dynamism" as its theme this year, the forum has reminded world leaders about the pressing need to cooperate and fix the global economy. Some 2,500 participants from more than 100 countries and more than 1,000 international organizations are attending the forum.

In around 300 sessions and workshops during the 6-day event, participants will discuss how the global economy can get back to robust growth, and how business models can adapt to generational and structural changes.

For more, we are joined live by our correspondent Jack Barton in Brussels.

Q1: The World Economic Forum is, at the end of the day, a forum and not a conference. Can we therefore expect any major announcements at this year’s event?

Q2: China will be the focus of key discussions, today and throughout the week... what will be the main talking points?
