Former Philippine parliament speaker Jose de Venecia Jr., founding chairman and co-chairman of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), extended greetings to the CPC on the occasion of its 18th national congress on behalf of 318 ICAPP member parties from 52 Asian states.

"All our countries have a stake in China's peaceful rise, and in the continuing prosperity of the Chinese people," he said.

In Asia, China has become the focal point of the growth triangles, he said.

Antonio Cafiero, president of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL), said the 18th CPC national congress is an important conference.

He said COPPPAL has maintained a friendly cooperative relationship with the CPC and hoped the ties could be further deepened.

In a message, the World Peace Council extended wishes for fruitful deliberations and success of the CPC congress and reiterated its positions for the one-China policy.

Minoru Harada, president of Japan's Soka Gakkai (Value-Creation Society), said in a congratulatory message that China's prosperity today is unprecedented in mankind history.

He expressed the belief that China's New Age will be created under CPC leadership.
